It’s Time to Empty the Cup

I write this on the eve of my 53rd birthday… At this writing, I have exactly 4 hours and 42 minutes left of being 52 years old (but who is counting)? lol.

I came to a decision recently that I am ready to share with all of you and that is I am no longer going to do my Courageously Go! podcast. The show and the theme of courage was inspired by my 50th birthday– almost three years ago now.   Doing this podcast has been an amazing experience and I am richer on many levels for doing this show. Whether you are writing, public speaking, or podcasting, I think it is a tremendous opportunity as women to gather our courage, own who we are and what we have to share with the world, and then (drum roll please)… use our voice!

I remember about ten years ago when I was starting the Warm Milk Journal and getting my writing published how empowering that was. I decided to stop my podcast because I felt the need to empty the cup, so to speak. Since my 50th birthday, I have had all of this urgent creative energy and have been on this crusade if you will. I think I put a lot of pressure on myself because I was on the proverbial mountain top and felt that this was my time to shine and if not now, when (or maybe never)?  That’s a lot of pressure.

With that being said, I truly enjoyed the experience but now I am ready to clear my plate and open myself up to a new adventure. I know I won’t be disappointed.

I thank you all for your support. You can still listen to and download all 86 episodes on iTunes and iHeartRadio.

Thank you to my producers and all of my amazing guests. Thank you also to all of you my listeners and followers of this blog. I think I will keep this blog going and just blog for the sheer joy of writing and sharing.

In this busy society that we all live in I think it is a great gift that we can give ourselves to empty our cups from time to time. I am excited about making room for something new if and when it comes…. for now, I think I will write a bit, enjoy my life with my husband and two cats Sammy and Winston, and take an adventure from time to time…’

Love you all,

Debbie
