Connecting Through Courage

My friend Karen Zizmer Demuth is one of the most loving and courageous people I know. She was recently a guest on Courageously Go!

Karen speaks openly about the challenges she faces as the mother of a child with a disability. Her son Dante, was born with Down Syndrome and without an esophagus. Karen works hard to find the courage and strength that is required of her each day to take care of her son, marriage, and the needs of her other children. Karen is a leader in her community and works hard to raise money and awareness for a program at her son’s school, Connecting Thru Music,  that uses musical therapy to help children with moderate to severe medical, neurological, and cognitive special needs.

Throughout our conversation, Karen keeps coming back to her central idea of the importance of making and keeping connections.

Listen to our conversation here on Spreaker or at IHeartRadio.

Thanks Karen!
